Curriculum & Testing
  • Elementary school follows the Archdiocese of Miami curriculum and Sunshine State standards.
  • Standardized testing (ITBS) will be administered to Grades 3 thru 8.
Admission

Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year; 1st Grade students must be 6 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year. An interview and assessments with the school’s Screening Committee is required before formal placement.

MHOC accepts applicants of any race, color, religion, national origin or learning ability. However, there may be situations, upon the determination of the Screening Committee, when the school may not be able to meet the special needs of a child. In these cases, admission to the school may be denied.
